Dr. Hoare is the President and Chief Executive Officer of EndoStim. Dr. Hoare has extensive experience in the neuromodulation industry, including spinal cord, deep brain and vagus nerve stimulation. He was previously the President, Neuromodulation at LivaNova (formed by the merger of Cyberonics and Sorin Group). At Cyberonics, Dr. Hoare was the Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this he held numerous leadership positions at St Jude Medical including President, Neuromodulation Division. Early in his career Dr. Hoare was a consultant with McKinsey & Co., a premiere management consulting firm. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Harvard University where he was a Fulbright Scholar. He completed his undergraduate studies at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
Ms. Pinson is the Chief Financial Officer of Endostim with over 22 years of experience in senior financial leadership roles for global public and private mid-market companies across diverse industries. She was previously the Chief Financial Officer for United Orthopedic Group, Inc. a fully integrated orthopedic products and services company operating manufacturing facilities in three countries and patient service centers domestically in 21 states. Prior to that, Ms. Pinson served as VP Finance and Corporate Controller for Quadrem, a global SAAS supply chain solutions company. She has also held Division CFO, Chief Accounting and Corporate Controller positions at Centex working with its investment real estate and commercial development units. Ms. Pinson began her career in public accounting with Grant Thornton, is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Dr. Goode is the Company’s Senior Vice President, Research and Development. Dr. Goode brings 15 years of experience working with implantable and external medical devices for use in cardiology and diabetes to his position. Prior to joining EndoStim, Dr. Goode was Vice President of Research and Development for MetaCure Inc., an implantable stimulator company for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. He previously served as Director of Engineering for Impulse Dynamics, an implantable stimulator company for the treatment of congestive heart failure. Prior to this, Dr. Goode was Director of Engineering for DexCom, a glucose sensor company with both implantable and external sensing products. Dr. Goode served in several engineering and scientific positions at MiniMed (now Medtronic Diabetes), Guidant Corporation (now Boston Scientific) and Intermedics (now Boston Scientific). Paul received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is also an inventor of 27 issued U.S. patents.
Dr. Sharma is a founder of the Company and currently serves as its Chief Medical Officer on a part time basis. Dr. Sharma graduated from the India Institute of Medical Science, New Delhi, India. He completed his internship in internal medicine at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center (SUNY HSC), Brooklyn, his residency at SUNY HSC, Syracuse, New York, and his subspecialty training in gastroenterology at the University of South Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina. He completed course work for an MPH at Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Sharma was a Professor of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Director of the Esophageal Clinic at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Currently Dr. Sharma maintains an active, full-time private clinical practice, serving as the Director of the Arizona Center of Digestive Health and past-President of the Phoenix GI society.
